How ACSIOM homes differ, what you can shape, and how the process works.
How is an ACSIOM home different from a traditional custom-built home?
ACSIOM homes are designed as a system rather than one-off projects. Each model starts from a resolved architectural design, then takes shape through your choice of Architectural Collection and Interior Experience. That systemized approach is intended to bring more predictability to design and construction than a fully custom build, while still giving you meaningful architectural choice.
How long does it take to build an ACSIOM home?
Timelines depend on your site, local permitting requirements, and the model and configuration you choose. During your consultation and Site Assessment, we walk through the stages of your specific project — from permitting through construction, installation and handover — so you have a realistic picture before committing.
How much can I customize my home?
Every ACSIOM model can be shaped along two dimensions: the Architectural Collection (Modern, Contemporary, or Traditional, where offered for that model) and the Interior Experience (Core, Select, or Signature). This gives each home a distinct character without the open-ended complexity of a fully custom design.
Can I use an ACSIOM home as a rental or investment property?
Many homeowners consider ADUs and small homes for long-term rental or multigenerational living. Whether that works for your property depends on local zoning and regulations, which are looked at as part of the site and regulatory review step. Our team can discuss how different models fit rental and investment scenarios during your consultation.
What technology is included in an ACSIOM home?
ACSIOM Designs’ productized ADUs are developed around an infrastructure-intelligence standard designed to accommodate future integration with licensed AIOS-CM™ systems. Where included in the documented construction specification, readiness provisions may include designated device locations, pre-run wiring pathways, blank panels, and reserved space for a central console.
“AIOS-CM-ready” refers solely to the infrastructure provisions expressly documented for the home. It does not mean that connected devices, software services, automated functions, monitoring capabilities, or AI features are installed, licensed, commissioned, or operational.
Activating AIOS-CM capabilities requires compatible hardware, applicable software licenses, validated integrations, professional installation, configuration, and commissioning. Only the products, systems, and capabilities expressly included in the customer’s executed agreement are supplied as part of the home.
